SUSAN FETALVERO-ROCES received formal art training at the Philippine Women's University (PWU). She also studied Chinese ink brush painting, specifically the Ling Nan style under master painters in Hong Kong and Manila.

Working both in figurative and abstract, her works reveal a rich blend of Western and Asian sensibilities. She deftly combines ink brush painting techniques with richly textured layers of brilliant colors and mixed media on canvas and in fine graphic works. Constantly experimenting with medium forms, Roces incorporates three-dimensional and kinetic elements in her recent works.

She has held 25 solo exhibits in Manila, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan, as well as numerous exhibitions in the Philippines, Asia region, and the United States. In addition to her profile output as an artist, she is a member of the Philippine Committee, a member of the Federation of Asian Artists, and a trustee and treasurer of the Artist Association of Printmakers Foundation, Printmakers Association of the Philippines, and Kasibulan.

Roces consistently received the Juror's Choice and Honorable Mention for the Philip Morris Art Awards from 1995-1999. She is actively involved in organizing local and international art exhibitions and events, including PLDT/DPC Annual Art Competition and Philippine participation in the AIAE.
